#1935: Good Health

They’re tearing up the entire sidewalk on my block and I can’t help but feel like that’s a snapshot of the wider world these days. So here’s some music to help push through to the other side, featuring vintage gems and new releases from Life, The Sh-Booms, Strange Majik, Magic Shoppe, Tombstones In Their Eyes, Weird Owl, ¿Que Asco?, The Hussy and more more more.

Enjoy, tell a friend, and hang on tight!

#1928: Shibboleth

It seems hard to find a common grasp on what’s real these days. The source is arguably the struggle of outdated norms for survival in a changing nation, and they’re fighting with all the propaganda at their disposal. They’re angry shibboleths.

Here’s my set in response to the sorrow and dissonance of the last few weeks in the U.S. along with a concert update so you can get out and be with people. Hope it helps you keep your grip!

#1920: Out Of Time (Extended Tracks)

As summer heat begins creeping I thought this week could use some room to breathe, so extended tracks it is! A nod to the late Dr. John, an STP anniversary, new music from Los Mundos, Slift, and Aldous Harding, and other aural ephemera.
Stretch out, enjoy, and tell a pal.

#1919: Calm Down

This week is mostly new releases with some vintage psych thrown in and a nod to the recently departed Roky Erickson, along with this week’s NYC concert calendar.

Dig on really fresh guitar hijinks by Amyl and the Sniffers, Salem’s Bend, Ezra Furman, Garcia Peoples, Seratones and more.

Hope your impending summer is looking amazing.
