#1932: Coming Back From A Cloud

Summer’s hazy days are growing shorter as autumn approaches and while we’re all returning to the usual grind I like to use the shorter days and new routines to reflect a bit. This week’s all modern music, starting off kind of chilly and headed into a heavier second half. Hope your transitions are relatively painless.

#1929: Living Wreck

Finally got back into my garage after a looooong time and hooked up my record player so here’s the first vinyl episode in a while, featuring some of the spines that caught my eye including a new live track from The Advertisers, an old live track from Mountain, new Ty Segall and more more more for these modern blues.

#1928: Shibboleth

It seems hard to find a common grasp on what’s real these days. The source is arguably the struggle of outdated norms for survival in a changing nation, and they’re fighting with all the propaganda at their disposal. They’re angry shibboleths.

Here’s my set in response to the sorrow and dissonance of the last few weeks in the U.S. along with a concert update so you can get out and be with people. Hope it helps you keep your grip!

#1918: Nobody Can Live Forever

Vintage tunes on the radio always remind me of summers spent driving around city streets and lonely roads. Road trips and quick jaunts, muggy winds dragging cigarette smoke out the windows, while the radio blares blues and soul and rock that sounded like signals from far away across time and space. Good memories, is what I’m getting at. Here’s a mix of the old school, prime fodder for sanguine summer adventures.

#1917: How You Feel

The manic pace of our world can make emotions seem immediate and not worthy of question or examination. That’s an illusion, though, so let’s take a bit of time today to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Today’s show starts out mellow and builds over time. I don’t know about you, but me? I need a little space to let myself breath. Old tracks mix with new stuff from folks like Aldous Harding, The Mystery Lights, Wargirl, Grim Streaker, Pile and more. Come feel small with me, in a good way.
